The verdict isn’t in, yet. Ron

After looking and looking at mine my money is on 57cc the corner around the decomp is square on a 70cc. It doesn't have the two bosses in the side for the muffler so 80 81 850 is out umm it has a decomp out the back so 805 800 is out 54cc is out due to the decomp. This has been a fun little quiz night learning experience haha

You obviously have a clearer view than I have. I was judging by the broken clutch cover. I can vaguely see the DSP port and clean out now that you pointed them out, thus not a late model 82cc. I don’t know enough about the various models to judge further. Ron

You guys are great entertainment. Ill end the guess. Its a 10-10s cylinder i ebayed to build one with. Turns out the chrome was flaked off in a big spot. So its useless really. The piston was good though. So it is 57cc cylinder. And thats my other parts under there as well. Various yucky cylinders and covers. I use when needed or bored. Ive got a homy xp1000 cylinder scored badly, a 57cc mac, a sp81 cylinder also scored, a box with a complete 110 in it. Couple of unused mac oil tanks, And various clutch covers. Also a gallon of stihl ultra mix. A pm800 gas tank that leaks a good bit. My used parts bin.

Hi guys,I've got an Eager Beaver 2.1 that I use as a limbing saw.The oilers were giving me some problems, not working.Last month I took the front cover off & found the oil supply line from the tank to the pump was kinked & twisted.I was able to cut off the affected piece of line,re-attach it,& I got the manual oiler working.I took it out cutting the other day & noticed that the auto oiler isn't working. Now that I know how to access the pump, what would my course of action be to get the auto oiler pump working again?Maybe run some brake cleaner,or Seafoam through it to see if that'll get it working again?

Vinny, would you like to get that Homey XP1000 going again?I just got a nice used cylinder for mine.I think the guyu might have another one,but ya gotta be careful with this guy.He triedf to sell me a cylinder with a chip missing down by the skirting.I already had one like that, that's why I needed another one.

Ed - there is only one check valve in the MM oiler system and it is located in the automatic oil pump. If the manual oiler is working, the check valve must be working so the only other possibility is the impulse operated piston is stuck. Remove the automatic pump and try working the piston manually, you should see a drop of oil disappear from the intake and reappear out the discharge.

Thankyou very much. I actually have a nos cylinder on it. Plus a new piston. Lucky find really. They came from athens, greece!! I thought it was athens oh when i found em. But it was greece. Lol. It runs great. Very powerful. Video of it on the tube. Homelite xp1000. Ive got on a brown coat and orange toboggin.

Thanks Mark! I'll work on this over the weekend.I bought the saw last yr.for $30.The guy told me that it hadn't run in yrs.It was missing the spark plug,so I put a new one in & put fuel in it as well.I had to prime the carb & then it fired right up.Damn nice little saw.

I'd heard of the stuff coming from Greece.I didn't know if it was any good though, apparently it is.I should probably get a new piston kit for mine.I have two actually, but one is missing so many parts it'd be cost prohibitive to try to piece it back together again.I have two pistons on the saws now with rings, but I'm kinda leary about re-using the old pistons.I can get a piston kit off Ebay for about $35 for aftermarket,& $40 for genuine Homelite.Yeah, the XP-1000 is a 100 cc saw.I like the muscle saws of old - I got a Mac 380 & a Mac 1-75 that I want to get going someday too.

Haha was good fun and good learning. I dont have an S yet but 1 will turn up. I watched a tidy running PM 555 go for 130nz a month ago probably should have grabbed it. Have you cut with the milk line tube handle yet? Mite help Ron on a no av saw.

Hey Ron has your pm700 got rubber on the handle? I haven't really cut much with my 10-10 yet but seems to go ok not real impressed but need to cut a tank or so yet to really make up my mind. It's hard to grab it over the two 70cc macs.

Love this site some random conversation leads on to a good dude offering spare parts to another good dude for another brand it's great to see this in action.

A homey will turn up 1 day too but good things take time.

I was trying to remember where I read about guys using a milking machine hose for a handle wrap.It must've been here.I've got a place right around the corner from me that sells milking machine hoses.I was thinking about putting a hose on the handle of my 10-10.It has a slight crack in the handle & I'm afraid that someday it'll tear my hand open.Did anyone ever find out if the hose was oil & gas resistant?

Haven't tried but would bet my 800 it is or enough any way I've used mine for ages and gets spilled on heaps. It's made for some really nasty cleaning chemicals eg acid and gets a very hard life 12 hours out of 24 for like 5 years plus. Go hit them up I cant remember the exact size but I think its 4mm wall by 16mm ID its auto drain tube same rubber as the milk line tube but its 5.7mm and hard to get on

Did you use any lube to get it on?I'd imagine you'd have to.If you did use a lube what was it that you used.I'd think that dish soap would be good,or D&L hand cleaner - it's got lanolin in it,a good lube that comes from sheep.

Yea have to use something that gets dry or tacky afterwards or it will slip around I used silicone spray was hard work but worked well but. .... Vinny used an airgun under the edge and says was very easy so that's how I'll do the next one.

I can get it anytime and will cost around 30nz to the door in the states so if ya really want some I can send it over
