The subject was pretty active earlier today over in the 10-10 thread with grommet dimensions and sources along with a possible new source for a high quality fuel line that won't kink at the bend to the carb fitting..., evidently similar to the elusive Echo line.

I seen that last night. Spent quite some time researching Fu Pen rubber company trying to find distributors and just searching fuel line in general.
Since this is page 1974, and I graduated high school in 74, I had to post something. That’s all.
Same for me. Doesn't seem that long ago. If I was paying attention to matters other than girls, I would not have lost track of my dad's McCulloch. I did lose my focus long enough to dismantle his Wright saw, but not long enough to put it back together again.

Well, now for a real post, just talked to Bob Johnson and ordered Piston, Rings, Bearings, Seals, and gaskets for the 7-10. Guess I better start scrubbing it down and getting it ready.
I just ordered seals and exhaust Gaskets from him , he was in a story telling mood yesterday.
I wasnt thought of yet in 1974. Shweeeew....lol
Speaking of ol bob. I tried fir hrs to get thru today. You guys kept him busy today. Got a piston, seals, and a gasket on the way for a sp81. Got it mostly cleaned up today. Its gonna be a real bute clark!! It was pretty grimy but so far its cleaning up very well. Ill post some pictures when its all done.
I mentioned a 7-10 the other day with a right hand start clutch with keyway in it. It was said it should have right hand threads. Turns out it actually has a left hand thread on the clutch side and a keyway. New one for me. Just a random thought. Have a good one ol guys!

Hey guys. Does he ship all over once I get the 850 started up I will be in the market for some av mounts like every one of them.
He does, but be prepared he's 80 something and gonna need all your information and very likely gonna want to talk , keeps all his records on microfiche (ironically thats how I did research in college) and writes everything down. A big plus is he's retired Navy so language is colorful.
Yea bob ships all over. Only takes orders by phone, loves chatting, is typically very busy. Takes lunch from 1130 till 130ish, is a joy to listen to. Its refreshing not walking on eggshells when talking to someone. Hes a true hoot!!

Awesome wouldn't have it any other way. Colorful language is always fun. @Maintenance supervisor all the parts are on there way for the 850 should have most of them by next week. Hopefully posting a video of it running before I do all the cosmetic stuff. Another question all the paint is in rough shape, any suggestions on how I should go by painting it like powder coat, spray, or rattle can? What is the best yellow to get it as close to factory. I am also not opposed to clearing kinda rat rod style. Just looking for some ideas. Thanks fellas.

I didnt even notice the RH recoil. That is odd new for me I have never seen that before. My father in law have been trying to drop off an Eager Beaver to me. I see a lot of those as well should be a fun little project after I finish the 850 and a stihl 046 I picked up the other day. Eager Beavers fun to work on?
No mini macs are NOT fun to work on. The end.
I mostly do rattle can , Ace hardware sells a yellow implement paint that matches good, and I use a black mopar wrinkle finish for the black.
