Ditto on the intake gasket alignment to ensure the pulse passage isn't somehow blocked.
Click on his name, it'll show a popup/info bubble, there will be an "ignore" or "unignore" button. Click on it so it says "ignore" and you're good.An AS question, I just discovered that my phone ignored Pogo’s last post. I don’t know how that happened and I don’t know how to undo it. There used to be an ignore button which I used years ago when things were going sideways on AS but I never used it for anyone in this thread.

Thanks. Fixed it. Not sure how it got that way. My phone when wacky today and I had to force a restart.Click on his name, it'll show a popup/info bubble, there will be an "ignore" or "unignore" button. Click on it so it says "ignore" and you're good.

Yeah for a fellow who doesn't have to work for a living he's got quite an expensive collection. Thanks mate...the hole is so small on the impulse port, its hard to know 100% whether its lined up properly....i'll get the carb leak sorted, wait for the cork gasket / new fuel line to arrive and then i'll see if she runs properly...getting closer to having it done, it's frustrating but that's how you learn...but least the ignition side seems good.
On a side note: you guys seen the youtube channel Buckin Billy Ray Smith? I stumbled onto his channel which was mainly tree felling but that guy has a rather large collection of old McCulloch saws.
I got the 10-10A running today that was a freebie.
Maybe a carb kit tomorrow and even the rails on the bar.
Probably so. After I made the vid I noticed it seeping fuel from the carb.I bet the carburetor diaphragm is hard like a potato chip, But she's a runner!
There seem to be several problems with AS functions recently -- not the least of which are notification issues again. I haven't received a notice of new messages for any threads since the 14th. My notifications preferences are still checked but the page is blanked out. Probably from another 'upgrade'.An AS question, I just discovered that my phone ignored Pogo’s last post. I don’t know how that happened and I don’t know how to undo it.
Rather a tough week for us, Mrs. Heimann was admitted to the hospital on Monday with stomach pain, turned out to be pancreatitis. While struggling through that she's had heart rhythm problems, fluid building up around her heart and lungs, and breathing issues... Things seem to be on the mend now but she won't be coming home until Sunday or Monday.
I'll do my best to check in from time to time and help out if I can. Looks like you've been doing a good job without me.
This has come up on another site and via private mail here. Some info on saws sold down under.
