Not to worry, I sent Sugar Creek a carb and new diaphrams for the Bullfrog, new stuff should be on it's way.

Made a 2 1/2 hour round trip after work today to pick this little baby up. I've been looking for one of these little monsters for awhile.
A McCulloch 2-10. 54cc's of pure McCulloch grunt in a small package... wearing a 20" bar. Kid I bought it from started it up for me on the second pull...
I'm pretty happy with the condition it's in since it was made in the mid 60's.

That is the strangest carb I have ever seen. If you gotta go thew that eventually Gary do another write up like you did with the Tilly Hl's. I used that thread for the longest time and it was a great help
I would like to get one of those small gear drives. I passed on a G70 a few months ago on ebay for around a $90 BIN. I kick myself for it but was hot on the tail of a homelite.

Funny thing is... I was goin' to this cat's place to look at a 1-40 as well... he sold that before I got there... :censored: But at least he held on to the little guy for me.
Glad to know some diaphrams areout there Randy. So far this saw runs really good. But it's good to know there's a backup to the backup.
Now that I am a moderator, I need to go back into my HL build thread and put the proper rebuild kit (RK-88) pics in the front of the thread. Glad some people still get some use out of it Wildman. I also need to add in there that I do reuse the old metering lever sometimes, and sometimes I don't. Depends on how much beer I drank before the rebuild I guess...

Watch out Rick. This Yellow Fever is insidius. My Homelites will soon be outnumbered by big McCullochs at the rate I'm going. Giving away my McCulloch 35A just to try and stem the tide.
All but one of the answers to my CL ad have come from people with McCullochs so far. I'm resisting the X-10 and 610 family saws though. In my stable, that CC/size range is reserved for the XL12 family Homelites, despite the recent rash of those Macs in my area on CL...................dammit!!!
Operator Error or Too Much of a Beast???
One of my CL PM800s is noticeably stronger than all of my other 82cc MACs. You can completely bury the 28” bar (effective cut of 27”) in red oak or maple and it just sings. All of my others plug along without hesitation when buried but they don’t sing. Maybe it is average and the others are poor. Don’t know since I have no baseline other than running my herd and watching other saws on YouTube. Anyway the point of this post is I run 50 gauge 3/8 Stihl chain as all my saws are set up for this gauge and pitch and I love Stihl chain. After making about 10 cuts today in Maple (smallest measured 36”and largest measured 50”), I broke the chain while cutting at about a 45 degree angle with the grain – I was attempting to chunk off pieces of the round – I couldn’t noodle due to the length of the bar and the space I had available.
Long intro to my question: Did I make a mistake in cutting technique or is the MAC too much for 50 gauge Stihl chain? Or not enough oil?

Or maybe just the "weak" link???
I don't think that saw is strong enough to break that chain. Maybe there was a defect.
