The PM55 is a runner! I needed to do a little work on it before I even could start the saw.The plug that was in it was the wrong one,so I put a new plug in it,the correct one.The oiler would only work intermittently,so I had to drain the oil out & pop the cover off the tank only to find the screen completely blocked with dirt, sawdust,& chips.Once that was cleaned & put back together it oiled great. That was by far the worst oil screen I've ever seen.I did put some fuel in it & within 8-10 pulls it fired right up,but loud as all hell. The PO must've though he was doing the saw a favor by taking the screen & cover off the muffler,it's like there's no muffler on it at all. Also,no boot for the adjusting needles

As far as I know the saw is a McCulloch 110 with a 16 inch bar and chain with sprocket tip . Kept it clean and greased . Runs like a champ . I think that it needs a set of points. Good compression. Manual oiler ,

I've got a couple macs I'd like to move if anyone's interested. I've got a real clean and good running pm 55 and I've also got a pm 700 that I'm working a bug out of. Toying with the idea of letting go of a 2-10 but I'm leaning towards keeping it. It's a super handy little saw to have! If anyone's interested let me know. Ill probably put em up on the tradin post in a day or so if no one here is interested. Along with some Husky saws and parts.

Also, if someone knows off the top of their head it would save me some time to know exactly what is supposed to go between the top of the oil tank and bottom of the gas tank on a 10-10 , pm 700 etc.
putting mystery Mac together the first chance I get and it had nothing there when I cleaned it up. Been a while since I had that part of one separated and I don’t trust my memory!!
Seems there’s supposed to be a washer of some sort in there for the bolt that comes up through the oil tank.

super250 fuel tank screw.jpegsuper250 fuel tank screw1.jpegsuper250 fuel tank screw2.jpegThere is a screw in the fuel tank on this super 250 showing some threads and hope the pics are good enough. Is this screw just back out in error or is this how this screw should be positioned?

How do you fellas move saws to each other?
Is there one way of shipping that’s better than another? I keep hearing its $50 bucks or so to ship one.

I use UPS to ship saws, I won't use the postal service. I've been using pirateship.com to get the labels though because you get great discounts. I just sent a stihl 036 pro with a 20" bar over to New York from Idaho for like 33 bucks and some change.
