It's probably not a problem for most people, but I can not honestly remember where this 10-10 came from?
Anyway, it was fixed with just a pto side seal( since I was doing seals ).
It was originally a total stripper model ,spur sprocket, thumb pump oiler only, and no tag in the air box. It still is a thumb pump only but I up graded it to a .404 rim drive and one of Mark's 3D printed handle inserts.

It's seen some use.

Ira - the fuel tank on that bow saw looks more like my 4-30 than a 47.

Thanks Mark ,I see the angle now.
I took a screen shot of an old home movie that the Editor of Time life magazine made . He inherited Red Cliff Plantation here in South Carolina and had staff cutting firewood and pulp wood.

I think I've figured it out with some thought.

The rod to pump measurement is static on the rigid saws. The AV saw however is dynamic so I guess that's how they did it. My saw had pulled the cap off the back and the plunger was coming out while stuck to the rod with saw dust presumably

I had something similar happen with my Super 10-10 last yr.I'd go to push the manual pump & one time it'd work & the next it wouldn't.I ended up pulling the FW off to have a look & found that the cap was split in two. This allowed the plunger to back out of the manual pumptoo far & the oiler rod would jump out of place from time to time.Amazing how that little cap being buffered can screw up the entire oiler assembly.

Yeah well that's my issue too. All my caps are split so I'll put a cheeky hose clamp on it

Ed / Jethro - If you find new caps (I have a few) note that the black ones fit the 10 Series oilers best and the white or natural colored ones fit the 300 Series oilers best although they have the same part numbers (62252->215151). Warming them up a bit before installing helps prevent splitting a new one, even dropping them in the hottest tap water for a minute helps.

Seal changed, a little paint came off withh the og one.
Noticed that this 10-10 is an automatic ,but doesn't have a throttle lock or the boss cast into the handle for one? It does have the trigger with the accommodation for a screw though?
Nice saw. I check out the pictures of projects and these Mac’s used a variety of mufflers in the 10 series. I have the flat Stryker with the same baffle as yours, the muffler with the small opening baffle, and the Reed flat style. Was any one of these mufflers better than the others?
Apologies if I’m screwing up this sticky with questions. Pig
