Airbox first. I believe the oil/fuel tank assembly overlaps it.
That's exactly what I was thinking. Thanks for confirming, the service manual doesn't have much detail on the order of assembly.Airbox first. I believe the oil/fuel tank assembly overlaps it.
That's usually how I learn anything....screwing it up the first time!
Airbox and reed assembly together and installed on the cylinder. Hopefully it's all together correctly....

Welcome! There's a couple of fellas here who may have a replacement for you...G'day friends! First time posting here.
I've got a question when it comes to my McCulloch CP70 that i managed to get my hands on. I am in need of a new muffler since the original one thats on it has rusted away beyond repair. The illustrated parts list says that that it is the P.N 65532. Now considering that i am living in Europe said part is difficult to come by. Are there any alternatives that i can put on there?
Thats an excellent way to sum them up!You'll get the saw together beautifully I'm sure. If you're going to try using the original flatback, it will have you questioning whether or not you forgot how to do basic stuff, like counting to 10. Some work well, some don't. I redid one for my S550, choke style. At the time, it would start right up and idle. I pulled out a couple months later, one pull and fuel is pouring from the muffler.
I think I'm going to try and rebuild the flatback and see what happens. I'm fascinated by the airvane idle whatever gizmo and the primer. The primer even appears to work already. I've never worked on a flatback carb, but this this one looks super clean and shiny. You'll get the saw together beautifully I'm sure. If I hate it...I have a Tillotson from a Mac 250 parts saw I could throw in there.

It wasn't that I needed another 10-10 - I don't.I missed out on a free 10-10 today... not quick enough!
That's how I ended up with 4 Mini Macs... they're like unwanted strays.It wasn't that I needed another 10-10 - I don't.
But it needed me.
I'm keeping my MAC110, because it was my first. That's how I ended up with 4 Mini Macs... they're like unwanted strays.
My Mini Mac 30 was my first and only saw for the better part of 15 years. I have never even had the carb apart. If I went to the shop and gassed it up it would fire right up.I'm keeping my MAC110, because it was my first.
