When you graduate elementary school and figure out what a real 5 & 6 cube saw is then we can talk. until then I'm done derailing the Mac thread.

what a 600-d -- 35-a isn't good enough how about a d65 not only big but powerful and heavy --- elementary school that's funny --- I know its hard to match wits with another fore you maybe you will get some soon

Sawbones, It's good to see that it really is a small world. Man there are many Amboy stories, from the 70's. But Back to saws..
I made it out to my Dad's farm today, with a couple saws...
Heading out.

My Dad struggled with the small buttons on the camera, so we lost a few pics. The 790 ran good, has power, and sounds awesome.

This popped up on C-list this morning. Had to have it for the bar alone.
Piston is rusted tight in the cylinder, looks like someone left it in a bucket of water...Grrrrrr.

Top cover says 790, but the gear drive says otherwise. Can't get a bore measurement in it's current rusted state.

Looking at the bottom of the block, Left side is stamped 63629, Right side is stamped 2412.

Any ideas? 890 or 895 I assume.

Enjoy your Sunday

Thanks, Sam

Thats a great find Sam, Well worth a full rebuild.
The 1-76 may share some parts but not everything.
I have seen over size pistons on ebay from time to time.

Thanks Lee. P/C are in horrible condition, severe corrosion internally. Not sure what I'm going to do. I'd like to get both saws back in running condition, but your 797G's have put bad thoughts in the back of my head. Lol.

I'll let ya know what happens - Sam

You might be surprized Sam. The cylinder
might clean up with a .030 over bore.
There strong runners for 103cc's especially
with the 3-1 gear. All torque.
What chain is on it.
