Umm, cough cough, here we go again...
Ya know this website has something about it that draws you in and just make you wanna keep on adding more saws to your collection. I just got that Super 250 what yesterday or day before and then the postal woman pulls up today with another box. I think I really scored here. I have only mildly wiped it off as it was pretty darn clean to begin with. And this sucker has some serious compression. I haven't checked it yet but it has the most of any saw I got so far. I also have a Homelite Super XL-925 and it has 165-170 and this saw feels the same when you pull that rope. I'll get around to checking into it later but just wanted to post a few pics. I really like this saw. It may turn out to be a tie with my favorite yet. Apparently it set in the basement of an old hardware store with a few other's for quite a few years. Now it's mine. :blob2: Came with an original McCulloch welded tip bar around 22" ( wish it were 28 ). Ok enough for now... Pics :blob2:

Does anyone have the specs for these please, Oregon no longer seems to list them, wonder why?

Thanks,

Lee:msp_confused:

Please remind me in a few days when I am home again and I can look in the attic and give you the Oregon and McCulloch numbers. There are plenty of drums out there, Lil Red Barn has them all of the time, as does customchainsawparts on e-bay.

sp 80, sp81e, promac 850

ok so if you HAD to choose between an sp 80, sp81e and a promac 850 which would be your 1st choice to keep and which would be your first to get rid of? I know its a tough choice as they are all great but....if you had to choose...

That's crazy talk!!! Get rid of?? As a true man with yellow fever, I should ask how much for the 850?

Ha yeah I know...cant say that was completely unexpected. Ironically the 850 is the one I am thinking I will keep. The sp 80 and the sp 81e are both missing the coils so..either wait till I find those or I have a guy who was real interested in the pair of the 80 and 81e even without the coils.

Whatcha want for the 80 or the 81E?

Please PM me ..

I'd love to have the 81E. Haven't got one of those in the collection yet. Forget about Ted, he really doesn't want it!!

Just wrenched on another MM30 and this one has a vacuum leak too. I need to order a ton of seals, just going to change em out on every saw now. I made a thread in the main forum but wheres a good place ONLINE to order McCulloch 83859 crankshaft seal's?

I would keep the SP81, I really like mine. Joey has an 850 that puts all my 82 cc saws to shame though. Coils are very easy to find for the points saws, common to all the other 10 Series saws.

I found my SP80 before I left, SP81 E came while I was away, I still need an 805, Super 850, DE80, and PM8200.

I have two PM800's and an SP81 for trading stock...

Hey thanks for the input Mark. I decided to just hold off for now on selling any of them as I got the same feeling in my gut that I had before I sold my 790 but, hey the guy just about threw $600 in my hand so I did it. I would love to get the coil for the 81e if you have one. I did find the coil, points and cond. for the sp80 online. I do have a 450 that I still use occasionally and a pretty nice 1-41 that I would be up for a trade on. Hey, also if needed I do wind up going up to Bryces (custom chainsaw) at least every few months if you need a part checked out. I dont post on here too much because I loath typing.
