So only the 80DX got that brace?

Yes a sickness but ahh still a cheap hobby that pays for itself if ya cut firewood for pocket money. Alot of guys piss their money away at the pub urinal and the pokies.

My Mrs says "as long as my feet a warm I couldn't care how many saws you have" :) so I've got 50 something 🤣 and 3 go....
As far as I know, yes the tank to handlebar brace is only on the DX series.

The rubber grip was also part of the winterization kit. I have one on my sp70 i got off ebay one day. The grip, not a kit. They are quite comfy. 2 of my sp81 saws also have the hole on the tank for that screw to mount the brace. Until i saw a picture of that brace i wondered what it was for.

Is the brace hollow tubing or solid bar stock? And what size is it outside dimensions? 5/16", 3/8" maybe?

Vinny,

I believe the braces to be solid (if not they are very thick walled) I took some measurements for Mark of the brace. See attached..

CP60DX also has the brace and the rubber grip.

My CP80DX also has the rubber grip but is missing the brace. Max sent me some good photos with dimensions so now it's up to me to find a suitable piece of tubing and make the brace.

Maybe one day I will have a CP55DX and an SP55 as well...
