Hey, guys. I have been looking around for a couple of hours for a NOS mac 125c piston so I could get this block sent off to be sleeved but have come up empty. There was one on ebay earlyer that was a buy it now optoin for $100 but it disappeared. I can't find another one on ebay and don't know where another one could be found. Does anybody know where I might look that would be able to sell and ship out of state. Also, there is a 797/101 piston on ebay. it looks a little different than the sp125 piston but would it work or could it be made to work? Do I have any other options for a 125 piston that is new?

There were a bunch off 123cc Mac pistons that ended on ebay
today. They were for the 797, CP125 and 101's but with the
correct connecting rod you could use one.

So what your saying is, I could use a 797 piston but would have to get a 797 con rod? Are the bearings etc. from my 125 going to fit or are those all different also? Ozflea, If I can get everything I need and all sorted out I want to race it and make a vid of it cutting some big Doug Fir wood with a 50" Cannon three rivet bar that I have been saving for this saw build. I should have just bit the bullet and paid the $100 for the NOS sp125c piston assembly that was on ebay earlyer today but was trying to pinch pennies because of what it will cost me to have the block sleeved. Now all I can find is a 797 piston assembly for the same price. I wonder if there is another piston out there off of something besides a mcculloch that is the same dimmensions and takes the same size pin and bearings? The piston I have is not really that bad but does have some slight scratches and I would hate to spend all the money for the sleeving and then put junk in it. I like to spend the extra money and do it right the first time so that I don't have to wait for any unwanted surprises later if you know what I mean. Also, I have been trying to get ahold of axman from ebay and have not gotten a response. Anybody know if he is on vaction or something, I was hoping he might have what I need. Can you all think of another seller on ebay that might have a new piston?

Why don't you just send an email to the seller
of the 125 piston. It was a no sale and has been
up on ebay for a few months. Make him an offer.

I did just that Lee, and he wrote back saying that it was just sold. I wrote him back asking if he had another one or if he had a con rod for the 797/101 piston he also had listed but no repley. That is probably because today is sunday and he will reply tommorow.

I have several Super 797 123cc standard bore thin ring pistons very very clean no scoring...you still need the rod though for your app...good luck

Yeah, If I use a 797 piston I think I will have to have a 101 or CP125 con rod. If a 797 will work or I can find a rod I will PM you.

Will a mc-101C piston fit on a sp125c con rod? I have been trying to find a combination of parts that will work for the re-sleeve project. I can't seem to find a NOS sp125c piston anywhere. I did find a NOS CP125 piston, but I will have to either find a CP125 con rod or a 101 rod to make it work, I think, not real sure. The CP125 piston has a different size pin and it has a window built on it. my sp125c piston does not have the window and has the exhaust side longer than the opposite side. will this piston work ok or will there be problems in a sp125c block? Of course I find a piston that i think will work but can't find a rod. I can't seem to win on this project. If i can't find a rod i might have to have one machined that will let the CP piston work on my stock sp125c crank. I saw a nice custome one on macbobaust.com that almost looks billit. I wonder if there is a place out there somewhere that makes custome con rods for Kart applications? I really would like to find a combo so i can send this block off for the resleeve while the company still is interested in it.

Bubba it would work out cheaper and better to find a 101 cylinder and piston assy a long block for your application LOOK ON EBAY UNDER MCCULLOCH KARTS

I am way ahead of you hear. I have been looking for quite a while now and all that seems to come up are complete motors and they are not cheap. the only 101 on ebay has some issues also. broken fins, stripped holes, scratched piston and cylinder etc. I have been contacting Kart parts stroes and anyplace that has mc parts but no luck. I ordered the CP125 piston assembly so that I can get the block off but will have to leave the rod dillemma for later. I know a guy here in New Mexico that is a master machinest. He can build anything. He does lots of work for the Air Force(High Speed Test Track), NASCAR, NASA, builds custome choppers, builds his own custome benchrest rifles that can put every shot threw the same hole etc. If I can get him interested in my project he will build me one just because he wants to. If he is not interested then I am out of luck, thats just the way he is. He even built his own dragster funny car one time. built everything, even the block. the block was a huge peice of billit and he machined it into a motor block. Someone told me that that funny car was pushing 1200 horsepower. The guys shop is in the center of his house and it has millions of dollars in machinery in it. the floor is so clean you could eat off of it. the whole problem I will have is getting him interested. If I can't get him to build one, is there any way to make spacers or something for the cp125 piston soit will fit my sp125c con rod?

DUDE, seriously, take a chill-pill. You are stressing everyone with your incessant, impetuous posts. Right now you are bouncing all over the place like a rat in a room full of coffee beans. If you will just wait, things will come to you when you least expect it. :dizzy:

Thats what i've been telling ole Bubba. But
he doesn't seem to want to listen.
BE PATIENT.

Buy the time you sleeve your block, Find an NOS 125,
or a 797, CP125, 101 piston and correct rod to fit the
desired piston, Bearings, seals, gaskets you will have
a million dollar SP125C that will only be worth what an
average SP125C is worth.

Easy, now. Didn't mean to cause any anoyance. I was just getting a bit excited trying to make this build interesting and different. I will calm myself. I don't plan on selling the saw so the cost is not that big a deal to me and I like the challenge of what I want to do with it. Haven't heard of anyone else sleeving a non remavable head block so I thought I would try it and then others would be informed on wether it worked out good or not. My appologies, folks.
