I believe the purpose of a mod job is to get more power with a lighter saw and hence more work done in a day.

But instead of $250 or more for a mod, wouldn't it be better to just get two illegal aliens running two regular saws. That would be a 100% gain in power (instead of just 25%) and you wouldn't have to worry about holding the saw weight all day either. Double the power and much cheaper as well. In fact you could just sit in a lawn chair and watch.

Rather than a "woods port" job it would be an "illegal alien port" job. You may wish to pursue that avenue as well Thall.

Not quite sure what the port timing numbers would be though, maybe something like 9 to 5?

lol, never thought of that Wood. Now that I'm pondering on it you got a good idea there. Hell I could watch ESPN while them cats run my saws. I'm writing this idea down.................

Tom I've had two 361's modified and both were $200 and that included return shipping. Both were modified as woods saws and I'm happy with both. Tom PS Sorry I missed you in Leesburg; we went to Hagerstown and never made it back to Leesburg again. Thanks for the two bolts.

Sorry I missed you too ole Tex, I was looking forward to yaking with ya. Did ya get that saw back together yet????????????

Thall: use it! the saws will be "self-moding' - think of the time saved, and fineness of the porting will exceed all of Simons' specs (I assume you've received them by now?)
