Mod to a Sthil 028 super

Since I am "new" again I thought my first topic i post should reflect that.

I have a Sthil 028 super that I'm thinking of hanging a 36 inch bar on and running .404 chain through. Do i need to do anything to the chain oiler or will that keep up? I'm also planning on running straight methanol cause I saw it on YouTube.

That guy was a fraud. Use it to mix your fuel. 1:100 is enough. Chainsaws are two strokes, not four strokes, so you can half the oil ratio.

I would drop a couple sizes in saw. The weight savings would be worth it.
And make sure you take those rakers down!

Oiler will only work with a muffler mod and base gasket delete for a 36/028S combo.
Probably better to weld 37 plumbing elbows together and make a pipe muffler- but a heavily modded factory muffler should work if you grease the muffler bearings daily.
