ok i know it isn't typical to rod old saws but i love old muscle.there is a smalll time local saw race comming up and i just wanted to try and win.most of these guys are just using work saws and maybe a couple of hotrods.here is a picture of my saw.this is only my second try a a mod saw. i am by no means a pro but i figured might as well try it myself.I do have a dilema.the saw has a 7 pin .404.it already cuts very fast. i want to change sprockets but am afraid of causing damage when i try to remove the clutch. does anyone have a spare 750 clutch for sale just in case.special thanks to ron kunz(tree monkey) and to dean at washington hot saws for all the advice.

Nice ol 2 lunger in the back ground..Of couse the best kind too..Be nice to see when fully restored..

Yes I am a JD tractor fan....I have a JD G setting in the shed..my other one is a 4040 I use only to remove snow. And they way it looks tonight I will be using it tomorrow..

I'm a bit confused. You mod a saw like this and yet are afraid of damaging the clutch when you remove it ??? ??? Have you tried and found that its tight? I mean the saw has already had major rework... just seems the clutch should be a non-issue in comparison.
