Mono Line SL 145 specs

Hi, I'm a new member but I've been reading various posts here for over a year now and getting great information. Now I have a question... and hope it won't be considered sacrilegious to ask.

I've been looking for a few decent sized chainsaw engines for some go kart projects, but don't really want to spend a fortune. I saw a couple of old chainsaws for sale, but I can't find the specs on them... Mono Line model SL 145. What's the cc's and hp?

I also just got a Homelite ZIP from my dad but don't know the size or hp. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS in advance.

Your Dad must have received this saw from his Dad. It's about 60 years old and maybe pushing 70. I have one about the same age. Folks around here called it "Big Blue".

BTW, mine still starts and runs hard.

My dad has since passed... he'd be 101 now. I don't know where he picked it up, but he did have it running. I haven't tried to start it yet myself. It's a pretty cool looking old saw though. I'm looking for an old 2 cycle engine for a vintage '50s go kart.
