Any of you guys had trouble with the starter spring hopping out of its
slot behind the pulley? We have replaced 5 or more in the last month under
warranty, replaced the whole starter. The new starter looks identical to the
old one, same part number, but the techs at the dist. insist the new starters
are different and will cure the problem, we will see............

They are right, the new starter did cure it and no problems since. :cheers:
