Ms 290

Anyone have anything to say about the Stihl MS 290; I took a little of my hard earned Afghan wages and bought one yesterday as teh larger saw I have is a cheapo I bought ten years ago in a rush when we were clearing a friends lot.

Price seemed right, though it is a "Semi professional" saw.

If you bought the saw to cut less than 20 cord of firewood a year, it will do what you need just fine. With the proper maintenance, it will last a long time.
No, it is not a pro saw, it is a consumer saw. When used for its intended purpose, you will be very happy with it.

ive honestly never owned one. but at 55 cc and carrying good wt for firewood cuttin. i think its gonna probably last a long time ,an give good service.good luck.
