I know it's not a 361 nor does it compare with my MS440 done by Big Dave Neiger. However, the little 360 tears up some real-estate when pressed into duty.

OK, FHC you always have an opinion. I just thought I was starting a thread about the 360 VS. the other saws available today. Sorry to bore you.

The hype about the 361 is the anti-vibe is a hair better and the air filter doesn't get dirty quite as quick... nothing to do with performance.
You forgot, it is also smoother through the cut.:D

Christmas libations...cut me some slack. I'd give you a smilie, but they don't show brandy snifters.

Merry Christmas Bill,

I love my 360Pro so much that some time in 2007 Dean is going to get mine for atleast a stage 2 but more than likely the Stage 3T, alittle more torque would make for a near perfect saw. I have had a 440 but I love the weight advantage the 360 has over it. I would love to run/own a 361 but my next saw will be a 441!

Didn't the 360/036 have 3.7 c.u.? Did it pump out any more horse than the 361?
I know of one stihl dealer who has 1 ms 360 on his shelf, still. And then the ms 361 is right next to it:jester:

Sorry man, didn't mean to sound like a :censored:. I just wasn't sure what you were after. I agree with your thoughts on the saw, and I was looking for you to elaborate on what you wanted to talk about.

If I was bored I would have used this-:sucks: ....or this-:buttkick:

That's why I used a ;) at the end. Heck, I even gave you positive rep, agreeing with your thoughts on the saw. I guess you missed it.

I don't recall the cc's, but if I remember correctly, the output was near the 361, but the 361 has a more useable powerband. A friend of mine has an 036, and it was a pleasure to use. Again, my favorite feature of that saw is that you can put a factory 044/046 full wrap on it. That saw witha 28" makes a fine timber limbing saw.

Wrong there.............you got the first two right.

But.........

The 361 is everything that the 360 isn't and that is a stronger running saw by a big margin!!!

I'll have a drink to you! It must take a better man than me to see any difference...

I'm pretty sure the 361's port design is different. And like I replied to ktoon, the numbers were near the same, but the 361's power is more user friendly. That's just my thoughts from running each, but I never timed any cuts or anything.

I've run them side by side in the same tree and could see no difference in the cut...one may cut faster than another by a fraction of a second but I couldn't tell by what I saw'd.

I sold the 360P after 6 months of using the 361. I could tell a difference between the saws and there was no need to keep the 36.:)

If they're both in the happy part of their powerband, I'll agree. But I think the 361 is a more nimble, user-friendly saw.
