Hi all,
First time poster, long time stalker here.
I've got 381 I purchased second hand thinking it was a great condition saw. It is. Aesthetically. But after a trip to my local Stihl dealer after it stopped firing up after i got her home, I've found out that Internally, she has a scoring marks up and down the piston and cylinder.
My question you all is are aftermarket replacements an option or should I continue saving and searching for OEM piston and cylinder replacement parts?
I only ask this as I'm already $800 deep and wondering if I should keep travelling the path or turn around $$ wise.
Would greatly appreciate any feedback.
Thanks all in advance.
Also, I'm in Western Australia.
