ill tell you what a wise man ounce told me.
sounds like your tryn to burn up a perfectly good saw.:greenchainsaw:

my 044 was running lean with the zama carb, swapped to the wlbro hd17a and everything came together.

mine would burble like you said and walk right through the burble and scream to moon

i know your not tryn to burn it up

Good news. The saw is running good now. I just put about 2/3 of a tank through it without shutting it off and it's not going lean now. I did several things, but believe it must have been the tank vent. That in turn could have been causing the fuel line to collapse. I also put the 68 jet in it, but that wasn't the problem. It's now pulling 12,000-12,500 in the wood!

Thanks for wakin' me up Andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no problem buddy..
you sure did make that thing look purty..
did ya find any evidence as to what may have caused the ring failure/broken snagged ring, to start with ??
i see yuo replaced crank seals and a bunch of other things, just wondered if you did a vac/pressure test from the get go (with the new jug installed, obviously)?

Drive down to the GTG Saturday and you can run it:) It's running about like it did in the video from Saturday. It's just not running lean after a few cuts now like it was.

Brad you tease... I'd love to go to the GTG! It's just too far. :(

I hope all you fellas that are going plan on taking lot's of pictures and video!

Additional exhaust opening with Hustky deflector.

Brad, I hate to ask, but would you have a part number or which saw did that deflector come from. That is exactly what I've been looking for to change sides on a Poulan I have. TIA...

I use deflector PN 503589901 and spark arrestor screen ON 503405601. It's cheaper, shorter in length, and taller than the 288 deflector. I've found that it fits most mufflers better since it's a little shorter.
