According to Stihl USA the weight of the MS441 will be 6.6 kg, or close to a pound more than (for) the 440 (6.2 ?), and also slightly more than the 460 (6.5).

The 441W (heated handles version) that we will get here will probably be 6.8 kg, as the 460W is 6.7.

I know nothing about prices.

Any word on the specs, engine deisgn, etc?

That engine looks simular to a my Redmax 8000.

I have now recieved the Stihl 2006 catalog, and it confirms 5.6 hp/6.8 kg for the MS 441 W (that's with heated handles - the unheated version will probably not be available here, as with the 460).

The catalog also says "available (from) spring 2006".

It look like Stihl now has adopted the "turbo" air box venting too.
Now, if they'd only steel the spring type motor mounts to reduce the vibration they'd really have something.

I would think this saw uses spring AV mounts as the 361 I had used springs.
