MS460 starter rope grabs very abruptly

Did you ever fix this? my 461 is doing it. The guys who say "pull harder" don't know what they're talking about. It's ridiculous.

This is a very old thread, but it may help someone that is looking for other causes, My MS460 will do this if I get too "generous" with my low jet adjustment.

If you think a 460 can be tough to start you should try a ported MS880. You need to eat your Wheaties that day.

Or a Husqvarna 2100. Sweden's Dolph Lundgren is a bit hard to find to help pull the starter rope.
