I was kind of serious... apart from the chance of the magnesium catching on fire... epoxy gives up way before the almag melts, so with the crank out and the cases halves on the bench, it's possible to use a BIG heat gun or carefully application of propane to destroy the epoxy. Then you'd have to find a way to clean up the case so it would take another seal. Personally, I'd be looking for another case set.

Well the seals are good for now i will cross that bridge when i come to it. I have decided to at the minimum to rering it but if I can find a piston for decent price i will do that also. my local dealer says $113 dollars for there piston and rings I saw on ebay from Baileys for 30 but of course a smaller saw. Do you reccomend anything but oem pistons? And where would you buy from? I saw a flywheel puller for it for 40 is there more than one choice for tools for it?
Thanks Jim III

You can get the puller for $15-$18 on ebay for several sellers. If you can't find it, pm me and I'll put you in contact with a seller.
I've never seen anything but an OEM piston for the 084... too small a market for aftermarket guys to go after. The Stihl piston also includes a new piston pin.
