Can anyone get me some Stihl parts if I give you the part numbers? Dealer here is useless. I am still waiting for parts ordered over 2 years ago despite several inquiries as to whether they have arrived or not. (Don't need them anymore) I have been getting parts I need from my brother in Ohio who was getting them from an Amish saw shop, who amazingly always had whatever I needed in stock. The one time when he did not have the part, he took it off a new saw. Problem is the saw shop is several hours drive from my brother's house and he has no need to travel over there anymore. The Amish shop has no phone either so I can't call and mail order. Ideally someone here who works at a Stihl dealership will help me out. I am expecting to pay retail, not a discount price and of course, whatever shipping is. I'll also send you some Kona coffee for your trouble.

Amish saw shop?
They must be Mennonites in disguise!
Post your numbers, anyone here can get them and ship them
to you at retail plus shipping, just being nice.

Koa Man,

Waiting that long and having a deat-beat dealer, what a joke. What was his problem, he didn't want to pay Hawaii shipping rates, or was he trying to make Stihl look bad?

Hearing that makes me appreciate my Stihl guy more. He gets me parts that other Stihl dealers tell me are unavailable (liars or lazy?).

I wish I could help you, because your Kona coffee is very tempting. :D

Someone here has got to be a dealer willing to get your parts to you. Aloha, & good luck.

When I was in Columbus, Ohio for the TCI Expo in 2001, I went to visit the Rayco factory and the Rayco guys treated me to lunch at an Amish restaurant that had a phone and even accepted credit cards. I'll get the list of part numbers compiled as soon as I can find my Stihl CD. I just looked for it and it is not where it is supposed to be.

I really appreciate the help.

Found my Stihl CD, but it won't load into WinXP Pro. I recently reformatted my HD and loaded XP Pro to replace Win ME. I get a OS not supported response. CD is date 03/2001. I guess I will have to buy a new parts CD or take pictures of the parts I need.

Koa Man- If you want to just give a description I'm sure a few of us can tell what parts you're talking about. I know of a few folks here that have a lot of parts in stock currently.

I would rather order by part number, but I will take some pictures along with a description to make it easier. I'll take some pix tomorrow and post them with a description. Thanks again.

That CD should still work with XP. I assumed it worked before. There are some deadbeat guys selling CD's over ebay that will not work with some versions of windows. they know aht they are doing but are to much of a lowlife to admit it. as for Amish, the devote Amish do not have phones but as for saws I do not think that is a problem. Each sect is different but most allow gas/diesel engines but not electricity. that is why their tools are operated by air powered moters. The air comes from diesel driven generators and compressors.

The CD will not load into XP. I keep getting a OS not supported response. The previous OS I was using with it was Win ME. I see that the 2003 version of the Stihl CD is XP compatiable. I have other programs that I was using in Win ME that will not load into XP, for example, the Nikon View CD that came with my Coolpix 990 will not load into XP. I had to download the XP compatiable program off the internet. This is a genuine Stihl CD. Anyway, I took the pictures of what I need and will post it as soon as I finish downloading the pictures into the computer.

Here is the part I need that having a picture will help. The other parts are pretty straight forward and a description should be enough. I apologize for not having the part numbers.
1. 12 clutch springs for 020T/MS200T
2. 3 clutch springs for 034
3. 1 each, rim and drum for 024 and 034, .325 pitch.
4. 2 20 inch bars and saw chain for 024/034, .325 pitch
5. side plate cover that goes over the bar and sprocket for 024
6. complete muffler assembly for 020T
7. air filter for 020T
8. rubber mount that is missing in attached photo for 024

Please let me know what cost of parts and shipping will be. UPS and FedEx is prohibitively expensive, USPS parcel post is fine.

Thanks for all your help.

Well sorry to hear bout your parts delima, but the Amish around here can use gas powered equip and they have phones too. They have to put the phone in a phone booth of sorts out side. Some run family style restarunts too, i think they dont own but the lease it from another person.....Rob

Good luck on your parts. Just wanted to add a pic I took of an Amish sawmill in Md. near a track I go to. There seems to be alot of competition for them on this road, maybe 4 sawmills, out of maybe 20 amish farms. A couple have phone booths at the ends of their driveways. Isn't that cheating?
