i have a stihl ms290 20 inch bar listed on ebay, i guy from norway wanted a shipping qoute, an i did give him a price, then i asked if it wouldnt be cheaper to buy a new one there, u know because of hi shipping, an this is what he replyed

Dear – ********,

There is a serious lack of used big saws in Norway this days, doe to the expensive energy, given the fact that soon everybody now wants to cut their own firewood. You see, we have a lot of nature, and those of us that doesn’t live directly in the cities, now goes berserk in the forest cutting firewood! In fact this brings prizes high up on even old big saws. So this is why I want to by your Husky. And if you happens to have more of this big ones, (and even bigger) I`ll buy them all for sure! The big new saw prizes in my country has like taken an Apollo 13 rocket to the moon, so nobody buys them any longer!

Now, if I happens to get the winning bid, I would prefer the delivery terms as 6 to 10 days at 89 dollars if you please. I would be really happy! But of course, I must consider the total cost, but if you help me out with the shipping, I will trye my luck.

Thank you for your kind respond.

Walk away from that guy...he wants to buy your Husky MS290...:msp_rolleyes:

Only problem I see is your wanting to sell a Stihl and in his response he wants to buy your husky. Just goes to show them boys from Norway are a little lacking in what they really want/need in regards to chainsaws.:smile2: Sounds like he intends on clear cutting the whole country.

yes that is strange, dont know how he come up with husky, even tho i own two 288xp's, maybe he's a green horn, wants to save money an cut his own wood, hope he dont cut a leg off, well u know stihl's are orange too, he he

you know he might be right, energy cost might be really high there, maybe he got so excided about my ms290 he thought it was a husqvarna,

Id steer clear from that guy. ;)

Husky MS290, and big saw - he seems more than a little confused, also about the situation he describes....:jester::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:

Btw, the MS290 (or 310) wasn't offered for sale here, as with some other lesser models.....
