It is costly, like everything else here, but he exaggregates a lot - and there are no shortage of saws or firewood.

Thats what I was hoping for. A native with the knowledge of no shortage of wood or saws. Hey Troll are your countrymen actually cutting down all the trees around you?:hmm3grin2orange:

No, there are no shortage of trees, but you can't just start cutting on other peoples land of course.
Most buy their firewood cut and split anyway, but I own some land, and cut my own (+ more usually)...... :msp_biggrin:

He sure does sound a little speeded, but I don't think there's that much to worry about - as long as he's paying with cc backed-up PayPal, and you're shipping to an address that's already registered on-file with PP. Norway is not exactly known as the northern franchise center for the Nigerian national sports... Also, if he fits what you demand of a possible customer then there's not much you can do if he wins the auction, right?

And he has one thing very right: There's a lack of used big saws in Scandinavia. Most people consider the 361 and the 357 to be "big saws", so the 290 ain't far away. And since 290/310 or the 359/365 for some strange reason is not even sold here I could very well see people up here getting a 290 from US as a "big saw" without it being suspicious.

But of course it's easy for me to speculate, I don't know the guy and you must do what you feel is right, after all it's your money, not mine...

i wouldnt take no check, it would be paypal, i wouldnt ship until the cash was in my bank, maccall u know theres a bug crawling around on your page, i almost slap my laptop, if energy there is really hi ,everyone might be useing small saws, more cuts per mile
