I owned 1 strato 372. It was alright and cut fine

Sold to local with full wrap and half and 2 sets of spikes for 400. Was basically like new still.

But why would you choose it, if you can get the better OE ones still for same cost. ;)
In my buddies case it was the cost, the strato 372 was cheap, everyone wants a fortune for a used OE 372.

I sold one of mine OE with 2 tanks through it for 650 shipped. Come from overseas. Had the mahle cylinder.
They are up to 950 shipped now but used to be around 800-900 range. PHO

Guy I sold it to has like 10 of them now for his work. He like to have them on hand.

They are out there be patient. Lot of folks want the moon but I am more into selling then looking at them.

I still have this shirt from the OE 372

For a price comparison, In 2009 I bought my new 372xp (not x-torq), 20" bar, from a Husq. dealer and paid $699.95, $748.95 with tax.

What is a good price for a new 372xp now?

They list them for $999, you can’t buy without a bar and by the time its on there its up to $1129.00 with 20” bar. I have bought a saw or 2 at dealer cost in the past and they just don’t have a lot of room, so unless Husky itself is running a promo, I don’t see how they can do much less than MSRP.

Dealers will tell you, consistently, they don't make much money off the saws themselves. Labor is where they make the little money they do make.

My local dealer used to sell my 346's years back and give credit for the b+c @StoneyMeadowMaple

Havent ask in years because I had another dealer that would ship me saws online PHO too.

Bigger dealers get bigger price breaks too. I have had some say we cant buy the saw for that let alone sell for that.

I sell Generac generators, it is certainly the case with them, theres a couple hundred dollars difference on a $5-6000 unit between my cost and advertised MSRP, no money to be made on the sale, installation is where we make any money on them. People buy from us because they want to buy from the servicing deal, not for a bargain. I try to do likewise if what I want is available locally.

Yea, being a volume dealer versus a standard dealer versus a store with retail capacity (not a dealer but sells limited stock at the highest prices.) Our dealer that shutdown a few years back, now, said Husqy kept pushing mowers and other equipment, with minimums to be ordered every year regardless of actually being able to sell them or not. He also said it seemed like the rep was always trying to promote competition among the stores, and the air wasn't as friendly as it had been years prior. Greed.
