Picked it up today at saw shop. Somebody traded it in so I got it cheap. Might try some simple CS carving, or otherwise got a saw to trim my lawn :msp_scared: Lil thing cuts surprising well.

Hahaha yeah this one might get some rough treatment, too. Momma is gonna learn on it, and try her hand at carving. We took it with us today to cut a big pine log that fell in a storm. My 25" bar was a few inches short of going through it. Once we were done I took the little saw & cut into the pine. I was very surprised at how quickly & easily it buried itself. I can see keeping it around by the mill for pruning log knots & such.

Actually one of my favorite saws. Light, compact, and a cutter for its size. Ive had absolutely zero problems with this saw in the 5 yrs ive been using it. For a little more "pep", i used a flat head driver to pry open the "gills" on the exhaust and removed the screen. On the intake side i ditched the factory air cleaner and replaced it with "uni filter" material i cut from a used MX bike filter. Woke it up some, but not enough to leaner out to much. Only complaint i have is the lack of H/L adjustment screws. Heres a vid i made going through a 13 in Red Oak billet with a 16in bar. Good little saw!

A lot of people put them down but There are lots of them out there doing a good job.
I have abused the heck out of one cutting up a barn roof full of nails.

I'd love to have one. That'd make a good limbing saw. Then I could get rid of my old Poulan top-handles.

Cool little saw. Talking about carb adjusting issues, you can replace it with a ms250 carb (from memory) which is adjustable. Do a search in the chainsaw forum, plenty of info there to make it a good runner.

That's a thought. I'm probably not going to do anything with it until it quits working, but will keep that in mind. Thanks for the tip  I used it to trim up a live oak burl the other day, just a small burl that I am going to turn into a floor lamp. It was much less cumbersome than handling a bigger saw. In fact, it was about perfect for the task.
