Finally got around to registering and getting on the board. I've been lurking for a while and really enjoy this site alot. High points: married, two daughters, professional firefighter 14 years. Current saw lineup is Stihl MS 361 20", MS 180 14" and a Poulan 2000 Woodsman 16". Spent alot of time running an 029 with a 16" bar and carbide chain as a vent saw when I was assigned to a ladder truck. It's alot of fun carrying it up a ladder in the middle of the night to vent a roof.

I recently sold my beloved Husky 51 to finance the 361. :bang: Sure wish I had it back. I love the 361 but still miss the 51. It took me through hurricane, ice storm clean up and never missed a lick. Stupid move on my part. Guess I'll have to get a replacement. 350 or 345 I can't decide. Okay I'll shut up for now. I'll post some pics of the lineup and well as a couple of old saws I got this past week.

Welcome!

Sage advice above: hold on tight to your wallet. This site is bad for the pocketbook, especially if you're good at rationalizing purchases you don't really *need*.

Look forward to seeing some pics, too!

Welcome.

Step up to the table and lay your wallet down, you wont be needing it anymore.

I think your over-reacting, he'll still need something to hold the pics of his wife, daughters and of course his saws....:jester:

Welcome aboard relichuntr. The obcession begins..................

Welcome! I see you've already got a MS361, that'll save the first 10 pages of preachin'. I have a lot of respect for people who who run INTO a burning building. Be Safe- Aric

Welcome here, and have fun! :rockn: :rockn:

The 353 would be the perfect replacement for the 51, imo - or the 346xp if you want a specialized limbing saw......:D :D

The 353 is a great saw for limbing, it's what I use it for. Easy starter (never use the pressure relief) and runs great.

All you N.C. folks -- when does winter come. I've been here (Dobson, Surry county) 5 yrs. now and still waiting. Originally from the midwest.
