Hopefuly one of you Husky guys can help me out here, I just stumbled across the "new" Husky 362xp, is this the new rendition of the 262xp? Is it a choked down cat mfflerd POS, or a true runner like the 262 was/is? If it like the old saw need to start saving my pennies for one to set on the shelf for the future!!! I am that impressed with the 262!!!!
Thanks guys,
Andy

I did notice the large bar mount, that just made me want it even more!! I think I may have an addiction!!!:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

hey numbnuts.....

It is the same chassis as the 365 and 372. Pick up the 372, trust me on this one.....

The "old" 362xp was the same saw, but had a small bar mount, so keep that in mind if you are looking at used ones.

362xp

I have a 362xpg year 2001(euro)Did a muffler mod and nothing slows it down.Had the 20 inch bar buried in red oak, just kept on going!

Nope - more weight, less power than the 262xp.

The original 362xpnd the 262xpd the small bar mount.

According to DLG test reports, the 262 was 3.6 kW, 4.1 nm (same as 372xp), 5.8 kg, and the 362 was 3.4 kW, 3.7 nm, 6.1 kg .

Ok, sure

The 362xp is like a corvette with a v6 or a harley with a small single cylinder engine. Where as the 372xp is the turbocharged V8 or 110 Vtwin on N20. Is that better?

Nope, Ultra - just problems with my fingers (Arthritis - or whatever it is called in your lingo), and an improviced working position.:buttkick:

What where the specs on the original 262? It really doesn't seem that heavy, it is downright light compared to my old 390?

Thanks for the love there Doc:hmm3grin2orange: Still madd from last night I see:biggrinbounce2:
Andy

The original Husky specs on the 262xp were 3.5 kW, 4.8 hp, 5.8 kg - they didn't lie on the weights back then - that is a 3xx-series thing.....

Not on the 5xx-series, they weight less than Husky states, acc. to KWF.....:blob2:

The bogus weights is a 3xx-series thing - not before, not after (so far at least).

The worst case is the 357xp, which is .4 kg overweight compared to specs,,,,
