No more lame than two raised bumps on the top cover. We could go on for ages about what is "lame" when it comes to personal preferences.

Since there is no solution to personal preference.....the argument can certainlly continue to infinity....maybe beyond....LOL!! The "Great Vanishing Point"....

I love the Johnsereds. Only thing against them is lack of Dealer support in my area. Otherwise I'd have had me a 2171 or 2172 by now.
