I am using a three and 1 distel on mine and very smooth. I tied one end off to the d then tied my distel and then tied the other end off to D as close as I could get. I cut the excess off and then stitched the ends down.

Butch, buddy you need to get an update there. What is that your using for a lanyard there. I didn't of a break in at the smithsonian lately. Take it back and while your there take a gander at Jack's artwork.

The accomplished seamstresses in my family say that Husqvarna makes good sewing machines.  Just think what they'd be like power-ported!

I gave CMI a call today and talked to a guy named Kris Kirk. I asked him if he could look into the possibility of making a version of their micro pulley that would attach to a D-ring the way we would like it to. I gave him the name of this thread and that there were some good pics as to what we are after. Who knows if anything will come of this.


I also told him that it might in his best interest to poke around AS from time to time to see what we are all chatting about as the subject of pulleys in general seems to come up a lot.

BTW BigJohn!!!

I fine tuned the Knut hitch on my lanyard last night. I switched from 4 wraps to 3 and the difference was great. I also shortened up the hitch as much as possible. Thanx for your input and keep those wheels turnin'.
