It's not an M tronic = not worth it.

If the MS661 is also not an M tronic then it is also not worth waiting for either. Go buy a MS660 at run out prices.

Let me guess! the smaller high rpm saw will keep up or be faster in 6 inch wood so what.
Put a 28 inch bar on both and cut some big Oak and tell me what happens!

This is only an assumption on my part, but what I think took place here is that you took my post seriously. ;)

I want to try one (MS 461) before I make any comments on it

Just like I did when I bought my MS 261; then I used 346 and 261 for many hours before I decided wish one to buy and I bought the 261

I will be looking more into the 461 tommorrow. They are not coming out with M tronic but its in the works is all they would say today. Ill see if I can get my bud on the phone tommorrow and get more answers.

I'll port the first one for half price........

....just want to give one of em the Tennessee Tickle ® :msp_sneaky:

The power is down, and if history is a guide (and I would bet the farm it is), it has gained some weight. I'm sure it's smoother, and being a Strato, uses less fuel, but just as with the 261 and 362, it sounds like it is already a step behind Husky.

Where's the dislike button:( I'm afraid you're right. I want to like Stihl saws so bad, but they just continue to lag behind.
