Hi Everybody,

A while ago I started posting on this forum looking to replace my McCulloch 4620 with something a lot better. As an interim measure I reduced the bar from 20" to 16" on the McCulloch, but I never thought it would last for long.

Today I received in the post a powerhead. Not just a normal powerhead, but rather a powerhead for a Stihl MS441CRM. This is the wrap model which the previous owner imported from the US. This little black duck is a very happy person tonight. One more package to come (B&C) and it is all good to go and cut wood.

Here is some pictures just to show it is real. I'll put some more up once I have it all together.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank Andrew (Stihlman441) for helping me make it happen.

Regards

You will love it! They are great saws. Have fun and be safe.

Great saw - I think you will notice a little difference form the Mac.

Why is it outside on that filthy piece of wood?

You might also know that UV rays will fade the paint

It's a beauty, congrats

luck,greg

Is that Andrews pine log bench and green shed I see... haha.

Nice saw you have there! Get it in some wood already :chainsaw:

Yes it is mate.

It was one of those 2 for 1 deals, buy a chainsaw and get a green shed and a piece of pine :msp_biggrin:

The bar should come in today and then I'll let her rip in some wood in a few weekends time.

Its good to see she is going to a good home where she will be looked after and polished, but the thing is she may get home sick with no other Stihls in the family to comfort her during the early days.:msp_sad:
Maybe a 28'' ES Light will make her feel better and lift her confidence.
All good mate im happy if your happy.:smile2:

agreed, she needs to stay in the house around those that love her until you get her a runnin mate. I got my first new saw in a long time from Mdavlee. That Johnsered set inside the house on my dinner table for over a month. Couldnt stand to take it down to the garage- even though it would have plenty of company. Nothing like a new saw though. Big Congrats to You.

LOL - you guys need help!:msp_biggrin: My saws stay out in my shop in the barn - usually the chickens and turkeys don't go in there and crap on them....

I would love to help her confidence by buying her a new 28" ES light bar. I am keeping her apart from the McCulloch just in case the yellow beast decide to pee bar oil over her like it does everything else. Once the yellow beast falls apart I will replace it with a small mtronic orange and white beast.

The smart man in me will let the wife have a go with both of them. I think she will go for team orange and white. :msp_biggrin:

Where can I buy a 28" ES light. Once I have the bar I will get the chain off Matt.

I'm a happy camper Andrew, once Australia Post deliver the rest of it I can put it together rather than imagining it with a 28" ES light on it lol :)

Yes please, count me in for one. Can you give me a price indication via e mail or PM please. I'll get a 7 pin rim from Matt.

BTW bar came in today, will put it together tonight. Rang the local Stihl dealer today, they do not have Stihl Ultra oil in stock, may have to start up on the Castrol until I can find some Mobil 1 or some Ultra.
