I’m in Nova Scotia, Canada. I have never heard of a pre burn. We didn’t do it with our new Benjamin that was installed 20 years ago, and it didn’t smoke or smell like the Newmac. The guy who installed our furnace also never mentioned it either. We have since contacted the company and they said its definitely the paint and that it will eventually subside. That doesn’t help us right now, but hopefully will get better soon. I thank you all for your help, even Al, I guess. Ha ha.Welcome to the site! Your issues should get better with time. Sorry the manufacturer didn't warn you to do a pre-burn outside.
