Mark, I have wondered that many times. Why they didn't go just a bit more and make it a true 4.0 cube. (65cc instead of 64cc) :msp_confused: Never made sense to me, but many things in this world don't either.

Gregg,

Well, I think 1cc is pretty close enough for me! :msp_biggrin:

Who knows why they stopped when they did. Maybe they thought any more power might over power the case and those needle bearings?

The better question is why they stopped at 60cc on the Super 380! Like we said before 70cc on that platform would have been dynamite.

70cc on that platform.................isn't that a 372?

Mike

I guess if we are talking "what ifs". Kinda wish they made a 90cc or 100cc version of the 5200 platform. :msp_w00t: Maybe they figured it all ready had the power of a larger saw, and it would just burn more fuel.

Gregg,

can anyone tell me what this is for? i was thinking a concrete saw?View attachment 275609

Thats a tough one. It is for sure a cyl cover that would fit a PP 305/335 etc but I have not a clue where the yellow color comes from.

I am not aware they made a concrete cutoff saw on that platform. Kinda small displacement for that really.

You know these better than I do, but that is def for a 305/335. Makes me want to put it on mine and upgrade air filters..lol

I know its not off a chop saw. Only because I have an air filter cover in the same color and its the same as my 285, 305, 335 just not in black. If that saw was for cutting cement the air filter would be a lot bigger. Still no idea what saw it came from. Got it in a box of parts.

I will say that the 3750 is the saw that opened my eyes to the poulan world, I am constantly learning about this brand and its amazing how many great models they put out over the years.

Gregg,

Oh, yeah! I could definitely go for a bigger version of my 5200!

Can anyone provide any other pics of a Tim Allen 3450 bad boy? 54cc 3450 BB

I have been searching since that one was posted for sale here and I have yet to turn up another one in a pic or even talk of one in thread. Found many more of the 3750 versions I didnt know about, but not one more 3450. :msp_confused: Seems to be little more rare to find then I first thought.

3450 IPL does show purple cover option etc.

i picked thias up with my parts find, it is the plate used when utilizing the chain brake feature on the 3400 series. i have never seen one before.View attachment 275620View attachment 275621

That part you have is part of the complete chain brake kit and was included in the kit mostly. There is a Poulan part # for it so I suppose it could have been ordered separately
