I told my oldest boy to keep the Makita as he is in the middle of a serious project clearing a pasture and needs it more than me. I took the Stihl's to my other boy, to keep the peace.
Take care
That would start a war... Poor kid with the stihl.....;)

Ok... So 25 should be no problem... I'll pass that tho joe. I'll give him all the info I can, then its in his hands.. Thanks guys...

Ya never know. He might be one of those poor brainwashed guys that actually think Stihls are better saws:msp_scared:!!!

He does....I once tried to explain:talktohand::talktohand: the Makita was a better saw than a consumer Stihl, but he will be very happy with the cream and orange. I think the funky color and a HD rental create a mental block. The other kid will work it more, He and wife are preparing some land for horses.............and some think saws are a waste of money........the only thing the French ever did right, they at least get meat out of those 4 legged money pits.

Ok guys... Joe Salva and I are trying to get some info on the want/need for s25da/cva gasket sets. I have a new set and have done scans for him. He said he needs to have 25 sets done at a time and wanted to see if there was enough interest to make it worth it. To me 25 seemed like a small #. Obviously this will all depend on pricing, but how many do you guys think we can use?

Add me to the list. I can use several.

Gasket ID please..... Here's 3 gaskets from my kit... One is the oil pump but the other two I don't know.

Then a picture of the whole kit. Am I missing any? The bag was open when I got it.

I believe this fits both the da and cva. Are the top carb cover gaskets the only dif ones? (I think they are, but I'm guessing you guys will know).

Seals, foam parts and orings will not be included, but I'm looking for a bulk deal on seals now.. Timken number 313156 is a direct cross from the number mark gave me....skf5510. I've found them for 5.99@summit and 6 something at autozone, but I don't have a bearing and seal house near me. Anyone have a good ones phone #? I figure if we buy 50 at a time to compliment a run for gaskets from joe, we might get a deal. It's almost like being a parts manager for 8 years is finally paying off for something worthwhile...lol.

Haven't had the occasion to buy seals from them, but this place has done well by me on bearings:

The picture with the 3 gaskets show one oil pump cover gasket, while the other 2 are oil pump to case gaskets. There different for manual only and automatic oilers.

In the other picture, the AF cover gasket on the right is the one for the CVA saws.

Yeah... I tore a da and a cva down to check them out. Glad to have both cover gaskets.... Thanks for the I'd on the pump gaskets I figured it was something like that, but didn't go deep enough to confirm it.

I guess I have all of them! Off to Joe.

Thanks mark!

About a week ago, my brother in law bought a new Stihl. (Yeah, I know) Anyway he asked if I wanted his old Wild Thing. I said sure, why not? (Yeah, I know)

Today, I traded that Wild Thing for this:
