Pulled a 3300 54cc parts saw of the shelf that has been up there for year and half. Thought something was strange when I seen fins on top. :msp_thumbup::msp_tongue: Can you say happy dance 60cc chrome bore top on the 3300. Somebody did me a favor.

Now my question is when was 3300 discontinued aka last made?

Ok your going to be mad at me for correcting you again I guess, but you did not pull a 60cc top end off a 3300 today.

You pulled a 60cc top end off of a 3500/3600.

Hi i have 3x 3400 countervibes and after replacing fuel lines and carb kits they are runners but all 3 are missing the foam seal on the carb under where the filters sit, i cant find these anywhere so i am guessing i will have to make them. If anyone could advise me on what type of foam or material would be best to use that would be great Thankyou.

I truly believe that Mark in mind too. It was sold as 3300 with 54cc sticker and I'm trying to confirm the tag numbers on rear.
It is not like the tag on the 2 3500 on hand or 3300 tag I have had. But the tag says 54cc 2003

I'll post here too to see if you guys can compare it to your 3500/3600 tags. It dont match either 3500 here or the 3300 here.

That is pretty hard to say with certainty.
The saw may have been owned by one of those "saw geeks" in the past who put a 60cc top end on it looking for more power.
I have no idea why anyone would do that!

Nope not hard at all if you seen the pictures posted at that other place and if you happen to know what your looking for.

So whats up with the # and 54cc tag?

Also I can confirm a 3300 clutch drum will be on my next 325 conversion for 5020 saws. No bushing crap either. ;) So now there is the echo and poulan clutch drum options for 5020 in 325.

I just compared this saw I pulled the 60cc top from to my 3500 and the flywheel is different, bar studs are different, upper left av is different then 3500 and the grey poulan craftsman 3000. 3500 and grey 3000 match but not this new one.

I dont even care about the rest it's going back in the box. The 60cc top end on the other hand is going to get used.:laugh::laugh:

More tid bits for you folks. ;)

Found another difference on the new saw that had 60cc top and a my other 3500 60cc. Even though same cylinder numbers. The new saw impulse nipple is on the cylinder and the 3500 has the impulse nipple in the crankcase below the cylinder.

Flywheel etc is different then the 3600 I just checked too in pics.

Also the new saw has the wider muffler area on crankcase, not the narrower like 3000.

This an interesting saw you have but not knowing the history of it who knows how it came to have a 60cc cylinder on it. Was it factory or modified by someone who knows.

Sounds like a good cylinder though that can be use on alot of other saws because of the impulse already in the cylinder.

The saw I was putting it on grey poulan 3000  has impulse on crankcase so i will be blocking one of them off.

Roger you remember me telling you I had a bearing in mind the same night I put the 325 echo drum on the 5020.

Well I confirmed it with calibers and ordered one. I will be putting a poulan 3000 3300 etc clutch drum with rims or spur in 325 on a 5020 next. Just so many options out there to do this 325 swap. ;)

I know you were looking for a bearing and had some in mind but I did not know you found one. Alright, that is two clutch drums now that will work.

Is this second one a better fit or 6 of one half dozen of another.

Either is fine for me. Pic is posted of bearing and it was my 1st choice of bearing to look at. :msp_wink::laugh:
