I've got a small spray can of Testors sublime green coming in the mail. Plan to paint the rear handle of my 3700 after being welded. Will let you know if its a good color. Should be cause it is Sublime Green.

Have any of you taken a part to a paint store and had it scanned for match? Looking at my saws I see differences in the color on parts that have not been exposed to sunlight from model to model in the late '70's - early 80's saws. I have an NOS chain brake for my 5200 that I am going to have scanned for color match this summer and try to spray a couple of saws.

Thats what Mike said to use Sublime. I couldnt find it in the 12oz and only in those 3oz 4oz model spray paints like you said for plastic.
I'm not into the real spray guns to have it mixed right, so thats where I stopped looking.

Rednecking it. :rock::msp_wink:

Well, i received the cylinder that Cowroy sent me Friday and cleaned it up and installed it in the 6900 tonight, dumped some fuel in the carb and she fired up. i then put new fuel line and filter, new duckbill, new fuel cap, new screws etc etc and she fired up but was running to high of an idle. i did get it down some but more work is needed. the carb needs to be rebuilt, the gas tank is leaking just slightly (i do have another one but i am hoping it will swell up once the gas sits in the tank long enough. i need a new choke rod and a few more things but i am happy so far. i will do a compression test tomorrow to see where it is at.

Thanks COWROY!!

well i rebuilt the carb and installed a choke rod, the gas tank is not leaking anymore (it was the needle sticking in the carb) HAHA yea I know. I did a compression test and got 130ish, i probably should have installed new rings but it runs great.

I will try and cut with it this weekend.

I picked this little 2150 up at the scrap for $2 and it fired right up but was missing the oilier. Well I picked up another with the oilier for $2 and swapped it out, still no oil. Took it apart and the gear in the oilier has some missing teeth so back to square one. All the other ones I have picked up are strato saws with inboard clutches, I am assuming that they use a bid different pump. This saw had a MM when I got it and it runs great, would make a great 4 wheeler saw as conditions tend to be extreme on the back of my 4 wheeler and I hate putting expensive saws back there. I will be looking today to find a good oilier but it has been slow or more folks are hitting my spots.

Nice find for the money.
With current issues, I've been thinking of reviving my 2750 as well. Was given to me, dead. Got it cleaned up and fired for about 10 minutes when coil died. Weird timing and thinking maybe it was intermittant and reason owner gave it up. Was not sure it was worth fixing prior to now. Seemed I might be better locating another on the cheap. This one would need coil, carb kit, spur, bar, and chains.
Never checked to see what was on it, .325 or 3/8. My part browsing seems to indicate it was .325 OE. But digging at a couple of sites, it looks like Oregon may have 3/8 available. Also rim sprocket.
Would changing to rim sprocket be good?
How about 3/8 pitch chain? Looks like rim sprocket may only be for .325 which appears to have more styles of chain.
