How does the gear come off of the crank? I'm replacing the bearings/seals, and don't want to fubar the gear........
The tool is the best way but a little expensive,if you are gonna need it once.I removed mine with a simple 3 jaw puller.Grab underneath the bearing and it will drag out the gear.If the jaws are too thick as was in mine,no problem.Try with the two(the third won't fit because of the crankshaft's counterweight) and after it come out a little,you can place the three of them.
