When I was on an artillery fire base we had a infantry unit pull in one evening with a quad fifty mounted on a deuce and a half. They pulled up to the wire and unloaded that thing into a tree line. No more trees.

Can you imagine being the poor sap VC guy(s) that were unlucky enough to pull observation duty in that tree line on that day?

Enjoyed meeting new folks and old friends today at Gregg's. Thanks Gregg and family, friends for hosting another great Poulan GTG.
That was some nice gtg big wood to be cutting on.

Also Thanks for lime green shirts you had made.

One of the new folks was some ole Canadian :msp_tongue: . Username fossil Many thanks for bringing me a NLA down here back up seal for my PP. :msp_thumbup:

My key lime green 505 looked about the same as the sub lime green 5200 beside it today. Thats how close that green in the can is. Hope somebody got a pic of that.

Roger, to answer the question now. Yes I thought she was running darn good and everyone that ran it said she was a good running saw.

On 3rd tank. Oh yeah freaking chain was sharp. :hmm3grin2orange::hmm3grin2orange:

Hope you liked the conference style call during lunch................. Maybe someday you folks can make it.

I had a good time meeting everyone again at the Poulan GTG today.

The hospitality and food was great. That is my favorite woods.

I feel very blessed to have met so many fine folks in my life. I swear it feels like I have known most of you for years. I genuinely feel, that there isn't a greater group of people gathered in one place than the Poulan GTG. The only depressing thing about this GTG, is having to wait a whole year for it to come back around- but time does go quick, and will be back upon us.
I work Saturdays, and it just works out that Greggs farm is in my sales territory and I am able to make it every year. I think I may request the day of next year, so I can get there early and spend the whole day, and evening. Too many people that I didn't get to talk to, too many saws that I didn't have time to run.
If I didn't get a chance to talk to any of you, I apologize! I have a bad habit of catching up with old friends, and not introducing myself to new ones. I am truly in hog heaven at the Poulan GTG. It is just a perfect time of year, great people, perfect weather, etc. Gregg and family definitely are some excellent hosts for sure. Had a blast running the Mercury two man, what an amazing machine and what a all around good guy that owns it. That experience will last forever in my mind, I have already caught myself looking for my own on CL since I have been back home.
Props to Brad for capturing my first pin up photo shoot lol! Hope to see you all sometime soon, I had a blast. And for any of you passing through central/ north central Ohio- feel free to throw me a line sometime.

Hey Kevin the conference call was great I appreciate the call. Good to hear the green machine is running good and watch out for those sharp chains. Who knows maybe next year I will make the trip. I was talking with the wife and she is ready to go for it.

As always, Gregg and company hosted another fine event. It's such a relaxing day of chainsawing, talking with friends, and just generally having a good time. Unfortunately, I left my video camera on a picnic table. So, no videos tonight. I've got a bunch of them. I'm hoping to be able to meet up with Mike and Sheila tomorrow on their way home and get my camera from them.
