I seen it, thought about it, but decided not to after I thought I knew of the seller. I had reservations about it then. Looked good though and hope it works out well for you.

I had reservations too, but I want a 380. I HATE buying crap that I know someone else has been messing with. It says right in the ad that it has a new intake. Let's hope the old intake didn't let it get hot enough for any scoring on the piston. It will be checked as soon as it comes out of the box. I would prefer to skip the drama of trying to make that right. The top end is really what makes that saw special, though.
 
That is one dandy looking 361! Don't look like it ever used much. This is just me babbling, so I could be wrong. o_O
I don't think the points generate the spark. That would be the coil or ign modual that does that, and the points just supply the spark at the correct time its needed to the plug.

I don't know if the points from a early 306 or similar saw would work in the 361 or not. Might be a good test if ya got one handy. I have a 361, but havn't touched or looked at it for years.. and my memory ain't that good..LOL

Nope the 306 points wont work in the 361
 
Fil 3700 bought new in 81. What do y'all think?
