Is that the one that put the smile on Mike's face?
I hope to have two good pegs next year so I can run some heavy ones.
It's been a Poulan desert up here for the past few months. I've had to resort to other saws.

Well resorting to other saws is good for you. It tells you what great saws those Poulans really are.

AS sure does have a new look. I'm going need to get reeducated, I hope that the learning curve isn't too steep :dizzy:.

No "new" Poulan (or any other brand) saws for me recently. Not much of interest on CL & at pawnshops only made a few half-assed bids on feePay.

I did take a chance on a 4 stroke trimmer (yeah, I know, they have no balls). Do y'all know anything about the Club Cadet, CC 4175, '08 model? I know that CCs were rebadged Efcos, not sure about '08 or now.

well, i used a break and spinner for the first time today, made up some chains for the 91, 53, and 65. The 85 still needs a bar, for now it is wearing a 24" 3/8 X 050 bar just for looks. My 65 runs great, it pulls a lot easier than the monster 91 which needs two people to do it safely,

I got one of my Dayton/Poulan 245A's running today. It's going to need a little more attention. The auto oiler didn't seem to be working at all and the manual oiler is sticky(but does push oil out). Also need to find an outer half/cover for the muffler and screws. I didn't look the saw over that well when I got it, and discovered that the bar was brand new when I started cleaning it up to work on it. I think the chain is brand new as well.

Still need to work on the other 245A, and I have a bunch of S25 series saws to work on, and a few others.

Edit: I need to replace the duckbill valves in both of the fuel caps I have and can't find a part number for it. Anyone got a part number that will work?

You can try really cleaning out the oil tank to see if that helps. That and run "winter" bar oil or cut your regular bar oil with something thinner.

And ya, you need those vents in the caps to work properly.

Did you get some parts replaced? I had a hip done on July 1st.

I think pictures are much easier to post.....but I can't explain it. I couldn't explain the old system either. Drag and drop...
This is most of my poulans. I am in Poulan heaven. So many saws, so little time....

Very nice collection! All runners? Which is your favorite?

I put stihl bar oil in it, which seems a little thinner than the cheap poulan oil I run through most other saws. I'm going to drain the tank and have a look at the pickup, maybe wash the tank out with some gas. If that's not the problem I will have to find a good IPL before I tear into it. The duckbills have rotted out. It's fine as is for bucking, not so much for felling though.

Thanks, Tim. It took me a while to find one of these, but I'm pretty happy with this one.

That's a very clean 5200!

I got very lucky with my 5400, didn't respond to the CL ad for five days because I wasn't sure what I was looking at. Thankfully some photos at CSCC convinced me to contact the seller.
