I was thinking of buying an Earthquake 45cc (CS4518) in order to get a new B/C for my yardsale acquired Poulan Pro 260 project. Will this work? Are there cheaper alternatives?

so i have had this saw for awhile i broke the throttle rod and just got a new one..... messed up let it sit for 6 month with gas in it had to rebuild the carb again.... any ways most of my micro saws ar either av or no anti vibe.... this cva is a Cadillac.....what a pleasure to cut with i cut at least 30 cookies... but i noticed in my air box it was super full of dust and chips..... i layered the back wall where the throttle rod opening is with foam better then stock.... could it be pulling that muck crap in????is there supposed to be a gasket up front like the s25da series???other then that i could use this saw all day cuts like my 009l with no hand vibes.....my other micros dont seem to load up this bad this fast is it a flaw in this saw?is it missing a gasket???? the only grip i have......!cid_452.jpg!cid_441.jpg

should have a foam filter in the front air box,

i have a new air filter acornhill.. i know the s25 saws have a foam gasket under where the carb box bolts down .... it has all new filters... it seemed like every 10 or so cookies i would cut then adjust carb and under the filter and inside the box were really full of junk.... to me more then i thought it should have... my craftsman 2.3 and poulan 2300 av saws which have a lil different box and my s25 counter vibe were not as dirty.... with the same cutting....

Those are absolutely jam up nice saws man! You are right, little hot rods.
yea man it pops for sure.....i run my lil echos all the time forget what a lil muscle saw that beast is.....next thing you know your out of wood to cut cookies or gas LOL....

its pulling chips in to fast under the air filter and all inside my carb box....maybe tomorrow i will do a before pic then an after ten cuts to show how much its pulling in.....it shouldnt have to be cleaned that much should it? my other ones dont....

I seen it, thought about it, but decided not to after I thought I knew of the seller. I had reservations about it then. Looked good though and hope it works out well for you.

Dispute filed. @$&*+! There are horizontal marks on the piston where the scoring was sanded off. I didn't even pull the plug to look at the exhaust side of the cylinder wall yet. I should have known better.....

Well, he immediately offered a full refund. I do want a 380, but I don't think this is the one. It is not quite as nice as it looks in the pics. Plus, if I really want one, I could buy an OEM 380 top end for a good bit less than the purchase price of the eBay 380, and upgrade one of my (significantly nicer) 330s.
