Interesting as all my 3400's have a centered pin. Wonder if there is a compression loss with the offset pin and square end rings.

I have the clutch removal tool. After using it I prefer the drift method.
I've done that as well for other saws.I just cut a socket with a hacksaw to make two projections and clean it up with a file.
