Got some kinda lousy news. Rumor is the shop I work at has been sold. And the other rumor is the outfit that bought doesnt need maintenance guys. Started cleaning out the building the other day. Then I tweaked my back. Out for now, heading to doctor today. Was told theres an email coming down today, so im sure ill get a call.

Looks to be too small for a 750 but a 650 is 54mm but I dont know about the decomp on those.

Jeff, It is parts were free, just for shipping cost. If I had had them. I found 1 muffler and 1 half muffler. 4 clutch covers. Sent links to 2 covers on Chainsaw Repair site.

Does your friend have a steel or cast muffler?

turns out it is not a cast style, he has solid state ing and his is the stamped steel kind.

Sorry about the asking in here for parts but I just thought that the place to ask is the place with the people who know. Someone in the swap meet? thread could have said yep $ 20.00 I will send it to you tomorrow and I would have said ok good. And that would have been the end as far as I am concerned . I would not have known the difference
If he sent me a cast one I would have to eat the $20 myself . I could not very well ask Ezra (sp ) to pay for my mistake. I always go to the pros when I need to know anything that is why when I needed to know about Poulan's I came here.
I had no idea that the saw was made with different styles of mufflers? If Jeremiah Johnson ( don't know his name) did not question me some I could and probably would have got him the wrong part. For the record too, the reason I said sorry in the original post was because ,to me it is like butting into a on going conversation but I don't know any other way to ask so I jump in. Jeff
