I never knew that 306A rings are smaller than 3400 rings. Just slightly smaller

Correct, and those 3400 & P306 bores are close at 1.810" versus 1.788", only 22 thousands.

That's a possible replacement ring if you file them to fit around the vertical keeper pin...same rings as the SXLAO

The old Maytag washing machine gas engines that were twin cylinders, think it was a model 72.

Otto Rings has them as a whole set for $15, but two of the six are too thick at 3/32". Chunk those in the trash, and the two pair of 1/16" thickness were a drop in with 0.010" end gap.

Can't beat that price for a Poulan obsoleted part!

S25CVA question, saw starts right up but will not idle long, I have to move the choke back and fourth to keep it running. Do we think carburetor rebuild or seals leaking? I will probably be doing both.

I have a chance to buy a PP 375 for $75 or less (I'm planning on offering a little less and see if the seller accepts). It sounds like a good saw that will meet my firewood cutting needs. Just a little concerned about parts availability. Can you Poulan fanatics tell me if that's a decent price? Thanks

Sounds perfect. I'm hoping to run the crap out of whatever saw I buy. I like the way the old Poulans look.

Kit it, but also make a blinding plate for the exhaust port and P'test it before you replace the crank seals.

I have had some S25s that both seals leaked badly, and others that were fine.

A trouble spot that does have a leak in most every one is the top cylinder stud base threads though. Gotta use epoxy to set that stud to cure it, or put epoxy on the case threads/stud end if it's already assembled. Pic coming of the one I just did Sunday, wouldn't hold pressure and major bubbles blowing from the case threads where the stud ends.

375 is a great saw. Dolmar is a beast. I love my 7900. Weedeaterman can take your 64 to 85cc for little money. opcorn:

So you would just go with the Makita? I could buy both but then I'm afraid I would end up just like you guys with multiple saws. The chainsaw version of trailer queen cars lol.
