Snorkel on the air intake? Or is only the front half under water?
Front half, try to keep the rear half up so it don't suck down any water. Have had the flywheel blow some in, saw sputtered for a minute the went back to running right. Air filter was slightly damp. I always clean and lube the pulley and bar sprocket before and after being in the creek. Saw clutch cover is real clean after cutting.

Yep I know I can change the cover. But I dont want to put any $ in it. Just going to sell it to some homeowner needing a trim saw around their place.
Come to think of it I have another one with slight scoring and a good motor just setting on the shelf still. Guess I need to check which cover on the builder.
Sold this other one ready to cut for $60.

You think it needs a tuned pipe on it, sense you put a few on some top handles. Still waiting on that vid. [emoji16]

just a little information got some supplies in and poulan parts i was looking over the new old stock never run 1800 micro i bought awhile back it has a wt-309 carb now i knew the setting were not 1-turn out on these i seem to end up around 2 or so but from the factory this was almost 2-1/2 turns on low and high to help any one had to take the limiters off also upon closer inspection. around the air filter that is crumbly as is the fuel line it had a type of grease all around the air filter ... never buying one new i did not know this i will be doing this on any micro saws i run any more... I thought you just oiled the filter.....now maybe this is not how they came but the saw seems as if it was like i got it in the box untouched..... also found it has a grommet for the idle screw... i ordered some of these for my micros that call for these and i got 2 cylinders for in case.....was going to use them for my 2300 but it looks as though its a different size.....any ways here are some pics......hope the information helps some one out....the carb settings for sure....

I ordered the grommets for the pp190 i bought a bit ago as i plan on using it a little to show it off.....
Never seen one where you could actually get to the adjuster screws before. Nor have I seen one with limiters either. Been nice they had made all of them like that, better than pulling the cover off half a dozen times.

I have a few like that the last ones made husqvarna 23compact the pp190 pps23 and the newer 1800 saws yes its way better i have top cover off one i use to tune the micros makes it a hell of alot better......I has surprised about the grease around the filter makes sense to me ... its hard for us that never bought one new .... you have to go by what you see or read.....I try to do my part when i first came here i read the whole poulan thread before the site got hacked and it helped me tremendously......

Wish I could have been there to watch and make a cut, I can almost see it in my mind. I think if I found a 8500 or 5200 I would get it
I pulled out my 5200 today, wiped off a little dust and stuck it back on the shelf.

Wouldn't be long I'll get to bury mine in some big Oaks. We've been waiting on the swamp bottoms to dry out so we can get the bobcat in to move some fallen and leaners down and out of the way.

Well I tell ya, i was so happy when this one found me. Of course in was in bad shape, that I can tell you. Had to buy another saw, a 4200 and build off of it. Fuel tank had a hole in it, stuck a finger into. Case was busted at an engine mount, but other parts were still in good shape. I worked off and on for one year on it cause I was in no hurry and wanted it to be right. I had to install threaded inserts into the cylinder head at the exhaust port, someone had made a muffler for it and used the wrong thread sized threaded rod. I also installed Husky engines mounts, cheaper the the $30 a peace on eBay and I can get one if ever needed from my dealer in two days. Just had to retap for metric threads in the case. Was also advised to use the carb off the 4200, it doesn't have the high speed cut out.

Only thing lacking on it is new emblems, will get those later.
