I found your pin bearings if they are the same as a 4200. If they are, I know where to look if I ever need one for my 5200

I'd just like to say thank-you again to all the guys who helped me out with advice and parts to get this other Poulan 3700/3400 up and running . It was an uphill battle and struggle from the get go starting with getting that wrist pin back in where it should be to fighting with that HDB carb that had a bad check valve along with some Mickey Mouse ignition problems but I finally won the fight . I have worked on many saws but this one had many first time challenges. The saw runs just about as good as the other Poulan I posted the pic earlier in the thread . It sliced oak cookies with no problem burying the bar in the wood . It is not a speed demon because of the chain I put on it but has a very consistent chain speed and torque cutting mid way through the wood . Not one bit of slowing down or faltering in the wood. I'm happy with the way it turned out considering it is a used saw with used parts and very few new parts.

I'd post a pic but it looks like any other used Poulan you see pictures of.

I still haven't located a bow bar for it but I'll find one sooner or later .

My latest fix and repair of a basket case, 5200 that needed a lot of fixing bolt holes, piston was straight gassed, wires broken. To me it was worth the effort to save so I did and enjoyed the task. Had to use a 4200 starter.

I still need to make an exhaust gasket for mine, exhaust port was messed up from previous owners jerry rigging a home made muffler on it and letting it run loose.

I got out to cut up some big Oak my dad had taken down in his back yard. Was going to take some big saws, but with my shoulder and arm I went light. A 5200 is not a saw to be taken lightly, it will kill this 4' + oak

Who has the seal numbers for the Poulan Pro 655? Timkin 472705 is what I have pictured because I was too lazy to write it down at the time..

I was actually thinking on taking the 655 yesterday, but it has not been ran in a few years now, and I have never touched anything on it since I got it. When I get a chance I'm going to go over it and put seals in it while I'm at it.

That's a good size tree and a nice load of wood Mark. We've got some big oaks like that in the swamp bottom but dad don't want any of those cut. Heck, if I did I'd catch h3l getting it out. Being my wife doesn't want me to build a fire in the house anymore, I don't have much need for firewood. Unless the power goes out for a long time, I can tell her I'm out of propane for the backup heaters.

Thank you Cory, I knew we had been over this before. I should have written it down better. I just had a picture of the box the seal came in without any details.

That tree was only taken down after the last storm took part of it down. There is a garage right behind me in that picture so it needed to be taken down. I didn't drop it, the professionals with a bucket truck did. I'm probably done with any this size, too hard to handle and I wouldn't do this one but I was able to bring the tractor over to do the heavy lifting. I'm good on fire wood for this year and maybe next but I like to stay a year or so ahead, this Oak is green so it needs that much time to season.

I took 4 saws but only used 2. The PP365 done a pretty good job noodling to get them in pieces to be handled .

That 4000 looks to be in great shape. Don’t have any larger Poulan,unfortunately. If going bigger, I’d suggest an older Husky 266 xp. I have one in Vermont and it’s very strong. Like it better than my Stihl MS 441.

@02stangguy Not much bigger. But there is a 4200 69cc FS for $40 for a week or so now.

Why not just buy something like that and then someday add a bigger top if you still feel the need.

Be prepared for extra weight though.

I’d love to get my hands on a husky 266 in good condition.
