Electrical isn't really hard once you understand it. Once you understand it, you will learn a lot. Until you get to GMLAN, Low speed buss, high speed buss, lan buss, slave, etc.. Then it's a more electrical you have to learn and understand. I doesn't take me long to figure out a automobile's computer electrical problems, the hardest part is getting to them to test. When 4 Engineer's tell me a splice I'm looking for is in 4 different locations, it's time to take a day off. Only one can be right, you hope.

Picked these up a while back. Got bored and decided to fiddle around with them this evening.
Initial diagnosis is
1.Piston and cylinder looks good on the red one but no spark and muffler is missing

2. Green one runs but it doesn’t have an air filter. Even though it ate some dirt the piston looks ok to me. DC63C9E3-5128-4309-8E71-B7ADB5723DFC.jpegB6594690-5B29-4BDF-8A56-AB5FDF5DD1D4.jpegA0F51C77-1432-486D-BD1E-E2E455D9F07E.jpeg

I guess it’s just a Poulan kinda night.

The red one looks like a low time engine. Could be the ignition crapped out early on, and they just put it away. Put a different coil in it and I bet it will run like new.

Hi gang,I got an old Craftsman 23A running today.Originally it had no spark & the wires on the coil were reversed.I'd never had a Poulan apart to clean the points before & this one was somewhat of a treat.I'd never seen point & condenser together as one unit. The points were burnt pretty good, but I managed to clean them up & put it back together.Put some fuel in the tank & a few pulls later it was running like a champ. What does this saw use for a bar & chain?I know it's a Poulan S25DA in Sears clothing.

I also got a Poulan 245A in the mail today that I bought on Feebay. At first I was a bit pissed because the 2 screws on the bottom of the front handle were missing & the fuel line in the tank was totally disintegrated.I had my son pick up a couple of screws at the hardware store & while he was gone I pulled the tank cover to put a new line in.I was lucky in that the gasket stayed intact.I put the saw back together & put fuel in & in just a couple of pulls it fired up.I have a 20 in.bar & chain coming for it tomorrow.I'll get some pics on here then.

I took the old small pump that was on the dino and made a very small dino that I can load the steam engines, I have 5 big ones , it is a way to make them do something. I also have a pump that I can use to make them work.
I was at an old garage once and there was an incredibly slow electric motor with a hacksaw attached to it, the guy would clamp a piece of steel in and walk away. When the blade dropped out of the piece it would hit the switch and shut down.
